Il conflitto russo - ucraino sta creando non poche problematiche anche nello sport. Non si è fatta attendere la reazione del Cio, Comitato Olimpico Internazionale, dopo l'ultimo consiglio Esecutivo.
L'organismo ha infatti stabilito l'esclusione dalle competizioni e manifestazioni internazionali degli atleti russi e bielorussi. L'annuncio è arrivato tramite una comunicazione social lanciata su Twitter.
Una scelta tesa a "proteggere l’integrità delle competizioni sportive globali e per la sicurezza di tutti i partecipanti".
